How to create your rider account

Install the Rider app
Download Ghar Thak Rider from Google Play (button or QR below). Use an Android phone with GPS that you carry on every delivery.

Create your rider account
Open the app and sign up with your full name, mobile number, and a password. Use a number customers and shops can call.

Add vehicle details
Enter your vehicle type (bike / motorcycle) and number plate. Accurate plate details help customers recognize you at the door.

Wait for admin approval
New riders start as pending. Ghar Thak admin reviews and approves you before you can claim deliveries from the ready pool.

Go available & claim orders
When approved, turn availability on. Claim ready orders nearby, navigate to the shop for pickup, then deliver to the customer.

Collect COD & mark delivered
Collect the exact cash-on-delivery amount from the customer, then mark the delivery complete in the app so the order is closed.
What you need ready
- Android phone with Google Play and GPS
- Active mobile number for calls from shops and customers
- Bike / motorcycle and a clear number plate
- Time windows when you can pick up and deliver nearby
- Willingness to collect exact COD cash on delivery
Common rider questions
Is joining as a rider free?+
Creating a rider account does not require an upfront fee. You earn from completed deliveries according to Ghar Thak’s rider payout rules set by admin.
How do I get paid?+
You collect COD cash (products + delivery fee) from the customer. Distance fees: Rs 20–200 by km; weight surcharge Rs 0–150. Shop/platform settlements use category commission (default 5%) — ask admin for your shop’s override if any.
Do I need my own bike?+
Yes. You deliver with your own vehicle. Keep it roadworthy and enter a clear plate number in the app.
Why can’t I see ready orders yet?+
Riders must be approved by admin and marked available. Until approval, the delivery pool stays locked. Complete your profile and wait for approval.
Can I work from the website instead of the app?+
Rider tools (claim, navigate, mark delivered) are built for the Rider app. This website is mainly the customer mall. Use the app after Google Play install.
What if the customer is not answering?+
Call the contact number on the order. Follow app / admin guidance if delivery fails — do not leave COD without confirmation of delivery.
Do I pick up from the shop first?+
Yes. Claim a ready order, go to the shop, pick up the package, then head to the customer drop-off pin or address.
Can I use the same phone as a customer account?+
Rider accounts are separate from customer accounts. There is no public rider signup — Ghar Thak admin creates your email and password. Prefer a dedicated rider login.
What if I cannot complete a delivery?+
Contact support / admin promptly. Do not abandon an order without updating status. Failed deliveries must be recorded correctly.
The Play Store button is missing — what now?+
The rider app link is added by Ghar Thak admin when the Android app is published. Check back soon, or contact support / admin for early access instructions.
Want to become a rider? Contact Ghar Thak admin — they register accounts. Shoppers can keep using the mall as usual.
